WWF Visit

Corrie MacColl recently invited World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to visit our Sudcam plantation in Cameroon.

The August 2018 visit aimed to give WWF a thorough, first-hand understanding of our Sudcam operations and to address any environmental and social issues being faced. The team spent their days gathering information from documentation and through direct discussions with local communities and Sudcam employees. It was well noted that since the acquisition by Halcyon, Corrie MacColl’s parent company, the relationship between the plantation and its surrounding communities had significantly strengthened. There were however some legacy issues that needed to be addressed, of which WWF produced a thorough report.
