UN Global Compact: Our Commitment
We recently furthered our commitment to sustainable and socially responsible policies by proudly becoming a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact. As the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative, the UN Global Compact provides a universal language of corporate responsibility for businesses across 170 countries. This framework mobilizes stakeholders towards achieving two common objectives within their spheres of influence: “Mainstream the ten principles in business activities around the world” and “Catalyse actions in support of broader UN goals, such as the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
In the Letter of Commitment below, Robert Meyer, CEO of Corrie MacColl and Halcyon Agri, expresses our intent to enact and report on the Compact’s ten core principles concerning human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption. We look forward to becoming increasingly involved with this global movement and publicly sharing our progress.
