Kelvin Terminals, our latex tank terminal in the Netherlands, has gained four additional 200m3 latex tanks. As the largest natural latex tank terminal in Europe, the facility will accommodate approximately 25 trucks per day as its capacity reaches a total of 7,500mT. This equates to approximately 40,000mT in yearly volume, or 80,000mT as the combined in-and-out yearly total. This investment represents our commitment to the future of the European latex industry, and to fulfilling our customers’ requirements. The facility will also accommodate the 100% traceable latex supply from our Cameroon plantations.
This recent development follows a significant €3.2 million investment in 2018 which increased the site’s capacity and enabled a wider range of customer services. This investment also saw the addition of air-source heat pumps to reduce the site’s dependence on diesel, and the installation of 126 solar panels to produce almost 100% of the electrical energy required to power all site operations.
